The
lineup that most Megadeth fans
loved was
the lineup
of Mustaine, Ellefson, guitarist Marty Friedman and drummer Nick
Menza. They all seemed to be open to the possibility of getting
together again and make millions of fans happy, however things are
not that simple and fans will most likely never see this line up
together on stage.
When
Marty Friedman was asked if he would think about a possible return to
Megadeth, he said that he did not have a clear answer for it, and
ended it with a vague “never say never” phrase. Nick Menza said
he is open to the possibility of a come back, however he also added
that he would never work again with Friedman
This
might leave room for possibilities, even a possible return. However
Friedman has his own bands, why would he possibly go back to Megadeth
when everything (and his bands) are doing so well? His band is doing
very well in Japan, and metalheads from the land of the rising sun
absolutely love him, why would he leave that?
Also,
other band members might not even want him back. Mustaine could
easily find someone just as good to replace him, in no time he
says.
In fact Mustaine said that he doesn’t want to collaborate with him
ever again..
Even
though Friedman said never say never to possibilities, at the moment
he is certainly not returning to Megadeth
